A note from Judy...

This will be my fourth trip to La Vega. I fell in love with the people and the TEARS Ministries from the very first time I met them. I never thought I would be a "missionary". I was born in Colombia, South America, therefore I am familiar with the language and the culture. My dream is to serve wherever God calls me, my prayer is to be attentive and know when He calls. It just hit me - 3 weeks!!!!!
Like the last post, I'm writing out of new motivation and excitement.
Because in my mind, the trip just became reality. And I am unbelieveably excited for it. Yes, even at 1:39 AM.

Plus, I just found out that my friend from Portland who was an intern last year is an intern again so I'll get to see him. And I'm super excited. Now the question is...do I let him and my Dominican friends know that we're coming? Or let it be a surprise?

Mucho Amor,

Steve

The time leading up to any trip always seems the same...
the trip is miles away
the trip is miles away
the trip is miles away
the trip is miles away
oh shoot the trip is in 3 weeks and I've got sooo much more to prepare!!!!!

It's so true-having not made a week-by-week plan of preparations, I now find myself tackling long todo lists during long prep sessions. And they will probably continue for all of the next 3 weeks!

Tomorrow is our 4th team meeting. Starting at 6:30. I figure we should all just sleep over and work through the next day as well. See you wednesday morning!!!

Mucho Amor,

Steve
